Knauf SUPAFIL® CarbonPlus is a non-combustible, moisture-resistant glasswool insulation specifically designed for retrofit cavity wall applications. The product delivers excellent thermal efficiency, acoustic performance, and long-term energy savings while being manufactured using recycled glass materials for a more sustainable solution.
The home previously had uninsulated cavity walls, allowing significant heat transfer throughout the property and resulting in poor thermal efficiency, inconsistent indoor temperatures, and reduced acoustic comfort. During winter the home lost warmth quickly, while in summer external heat transferred through the walls, increasing reliance on heating and cooling systems. The existing wall system also provided minimal sound reduction from outside noise.
Our team installed premium Knauf SUPAFIL® CarbonPlus cavity wall insulation throughout the brick Veneer wall cavities to dramatically improve the home’s thermal and acoustic performance. Using a specialised high-density blow-in installation method, the insulation was injected evenly into the wall cavities, both through the brickwork and via the open wall cavity underneath the roof tiles to create a continuous thermal barrier without major disruption to the property.
